Sensational Moments at Mowich Lake

This summer we spent a day up at Mowich Lake in the Mount Rainier National Park.  It was a beautifully sunny day, which is a rarity for Mt Rainier, even in August.  To get to the lake we had to go up a dirt road for about 100 miles.  Maybe I am exaggerating.  It feels like 100 miles because of all of the dust, but the odometer might tell us about 20 miles.

Chris, Joe and cousin Christi all decided to swim in the high mountain lake.  The water comes from melted snow and glacial run-off.  COLD!

Here I am holding Andrew, looking at the two girls who decided to sunbathe topless in front of us.  We were sitting at the edge of the lake with a great view.  They took off their tops and waded out to a rock about 40 feet away from us in the lake.  I think they were Swedish.  I know they were young.  Joe didn't notice for about 30 minutes.  Bob had to turn his chair to look at me, and I am going to have to say I did not put on a show for him to compete with those two sirens.  Chris was across the lake when the girls started sun bathing so it was kind of funny to see his reaction as he swam back to us.  He was confused.  He just wasn't sure that he was seeing what he thought he was seeing.  Of course, Andrew just looked hungrily at the girls.  He recognizes a source of milk when he sees it.

Christi just loved holding Andrew.  I understand her feelings.

Someone should have run up to the girls and wrapped them up in a towel. As cold as the water is up there, I am sure they would have appreciated it!

Why didn't you put up a picture of the foreign chicks?

Yeah, John. Like your mom is going to put porn on the web. This is a family friendly blog.
But I guess you won't be missing our family vacation next summer.
